5 Easy Fall Cocktails to Make at Home
October 1, 2026 · 5 min read
When the San Antonio evenings finally cool off, the drinks get a little richer and a little warmer. These five fall cocktails are easy, crowd-friendly, and lean on bottles you probably already want on the shelf. Here is what to pour this season.
Bourbon Apple Smash
Muddle apple and a little maple, add bourbon and lemon, shake and pour over ice.
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz maple syrup
- A few apple chunks, muddled
- Top with a splash of soda
Spiced Pear Margarita
A fall twist on the classic marg, with pear and a touch of cinnamon.
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz pear nectar
- 0.75 oz lime juice
- 0.5 oz agave
- Cinnamon-sugar rim
Maple Old Fashioned
The cozy cousin of the classic, sweetened with maple instead of sugar.
- 2 oz bourbon or rye
- 1 bar spoon maple syrup
- 2 dashes aromatic bitters
- Orange peel to garnish
Cranberry Bourbon Mule
Bright, fizzy, and festive enough to carry into the holidays.
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- 0.5 oz lime juice
- Top with ginger beer
